Following the huge success of the Flooring Innovation Awards, we’re launching an exciting new category for 2022 - the National Retail Star Awards.


We’re asking readers and also sales reps from the leading flooring companies to nominate innovative retailers – or you can nominate yourself and tell us why you should be a retail star!

The Awards recognise everything that is genuinely new, exciting
and innovative in the UK flooring retail sector.

Winners will receive 'Retail Star' branding to announce their achievement in their own local promotions and advertising.

MAJESTIC PRIZE
FOR HARROGATE WEEKEND

Winners will be invited to spend a night a the Majestic Hotel during the Flooring Show in September 2022. free of charge.

What will win.

The judges will be looking for retailers who can demonstrate:
  • Innovation in sales techniques and technology
  • Inspiration in shop window display and presentation
  • Aspiration in new developments and/or staff initiatives
 Regional categories.
The judges will pick winners in eight UK regions/nations:
  • South East England
  • South West England
  • English Midlands
  • North West England
  • North East England & Yorkshire
  • Scotland
  • Wales
  • Northern Ireland

  • Entries can be submitted now
  • Submissions will be reviewed by the judges during July
  • Closing date is Friday, July 15, 2022
  • The winners will be announced in August
  • The Flooring Show will invite the winners to stay at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate, on Sunday, September 18, and to their presentation on Monday, September 19 at the Show in Harrogate.
    This is optional.

Rules.
  • Submissions have to be a “new thing” introduced by the retailer in the 24 months proceeding July 2022.
  • There will be only one winner in each regional category.
  • Winners will qualify for the 'Star Retailer' award, branding artwork and a window sticker.
  • Awards are for a single store - not a chain or group of outlets/service
  • Companies cannot submit more than one entry (and for only one store in their group)
  • The closing date for submissions is Wednesday, July 1, 2022 at 17:00.
  • The judges decision is final.
